Atlanta Home Staging Company: Why Selling Naked Isn't a Good Idea

This Atlanta Home Staging Company, Georgia Interior Solutions, has the expertise and experience to help showcase your home and/or listing so that it stands out from the others on the market. Why Selling Naked Isn't a Good Idea

Why Selling Naked Isn't a Good Idea

Well... to begin, you'd have to worry about the following:

Drafts - Those unexpected breezes could pose challenging.

Seat Belts - Who knows where they'd come to rest (an unsettling thought, for sure)

And what about all those potential silly little comparisons.  Can't you hear them now?  You know; "her stomach is flatter than mine" or "he has more hair on his chest than I do."

The truth of the matter is that we'd never envision selling in the nude; nor should we. The same holds true for our homes.  When left vacant, you can expect visitors to quickly pass through as there's nothing else to hold their attention beyond the four walls and the flooring.

Another challenge is that a vacant home also leaves a LOT to the imagination.  And while some things may be better left to the imagination, your home, when on the market, isn't one of them.  Furniture and accessories create solutions for how the potential buyer can place their items and at the same time, makes the home far more warm and inviting.

Here's an example of a naked room:

Kathy ~ Great point! I would not have thought (from the picture) that you could fit two chairs by that window, yet you did - proving your point.

What a great analogy!  Your pictures could convince anyone that staging a vacant home is absolutely necessary!  Great job Kathy!

Oh sure Kathy... Don't you think it's a little late to tell me that I should have kept my cloths on all along?  When Linda and I first started years back I had heard so much about folks that stage naked that I thought I should follow suit (No pun intended).  So this probably accounts for all of the laughter when I get around people?  That's just great.  By the way... I love your work.  Very clean and comfortable looking.

Fun post, Kathy, and fabulous staging and photos (as always!)  Furniture placement is such a big part of staging and you did a great job here.  I like the lamp in the window, which can be left on and present a welcoming glow anytime of the day or night as potential buyers drive by and stop in to look at the house.

Great post my friend.  No one likes to see a naked vacant!  Love the collage page at the end. How did you do that?

Kathy ~ your staged homes are always impeccably dressed, and this one is no exception!  All of the pieces you selected work together beautifully.

Kathy, WELL I'm glad you put some clothes on that house! It's beautiful, love that collage!

That is a great way to put it.  As you mentioned with the naked comparison that buyers in a naked home will focus on the negative!

Great use of space and analolgy.  I love using silks too.  I think the  "South" like the plants more than other parts of the country.
