The 2nd segment just aired and it too was informative!
In this segment the home being staged was a studio apartment in New York, on the market for 2 months without an offer.
Barbara angled the bed, changed up the bedding, took down the dark blinds and replaced with curtains. Added pillows, lights and purchased a new table set (darker in color) added throw pillows to the bed all for less than $500.00. Two people attended the house and it appears there's going to be an offer made.
Matt made the comment that the seller is likely to recoup the expense (the $500.00 spent in merchandise) and Barb commented that "likely" return is $2.00 for every $1.00 spent. However, in this case, the return will likely fall in the $10.00 category.
All in all, another great segment on the impact staging can have. Tomorrow's episode will focus on spending $5,000. Anxious to see it!!!

I missed it again. Thanks for the update on the segment. I guess I'm going to have to set the DVR to record tomorrow's show.
Great exposure for the industry!!
It was a great boost for us.. Here in the North East, marketing has been a challenge so I will take any. I can't wait for tomorrow's show..

It was a good segment. I just staged a home with a cat in it and the owners are firm in keeping it there. So my cat problem won't be going to grandma's. If the house doesn't sell soon i may send them the link to the show. Iam also, going to send out an email to my realitors around here with links to the show after the series ends so they get that Staging does Work!!!!
Yup, another positive endorsement on staging. Love it!!!

It sure is good to see all this positive mentions of our profession. I unfortunately have missed these, but I have heard they were good.
