Home Staging in Atlanta
As I shared on my Atlanta Staging Information blog site, there are several reasons why home staging is so effective. One of the greatest benefits is that it can help define the purpose of the room.
Case in point - here are two sets of before and after pictures of the home we staged on Monday in Marietta, Georgia. As you walked in the front door, there were two rooms; one on the left and the other on the right. As it turns out the room on the left, which I had thought was a formal living room, turned out to be the dining room. If I was confused, I knew the prospective buyers would be confused.
My job as a professional home stager in Atlanta is to:
- Bring in the warmth thru the furniture and accessories and make the home feel like it "welcomes them home."
- Showcase the homes' features as well as space
- Eliminate the confusion that may exist as to the purpose of the room.
Here's what the living room looked like before:

Here's the after picture:

Here's the room that I thought was the formal living room:

Now here are two "after" pictures of the room:

Kathy,
Magnificent as always. I just love your before and afters.
Another WOW set of photos representing your excellent work Kathy. I can't remember do you rent your furnishings or are they yours. Those dining room chairs would make me want to stay for a while.
Simply divine! I know I'm in for a visual treat everytime you post Kathy and once again you have not dissapointed. I am certain potential buyers will be "wowed"! Here's to another speedy, profitable sale ;)
Great pictures, Kathy, as always & I expect nothing less than fabulousness from your work. You always know how to make a house sing!
Thanks, Anthea. I love sharing them here in the rain.
Hi, Ginger - I lease my furniture from Brook. Last year I had 37 homes staged at the same time. I truly do not want to own 37 sofas, 37 x 2 accent chairs, 37 x 6 dining room chairs, etc... as it would have to rent a huge warehouse. Also - Brook allows for me to have LOTS of options to fit any style of home.
Jackson - Thanks for your kind words. FYI - I showed my husband just yesterday the blog post you did a long while back on "What would Kathy Nielsen Do?" I hadn't realized that I didn't share that with him. I also showed him pictures of your work by going thru some of your blog posts. He loves your style and your work as do I (smile).

Thanks, Connie!! The agent is hosting an open house on Sunday!

Beautiful work Kathy! The home is so much more inviting. I can see myself entertaining.
Love your staging of this home, Kathy! I can see from the before shots that is was very important to show the function and purpose for each of these rooms. I love the furniture you selected, especially those dining room chairs.
What a great space to work in, and you really did a great job of staging. Hope the home sells quickly!
Kathy - as a vacant home, it felt cold and uninviting. Your expert staging highlighted the lovely windows, hardwood floors, and spacious rooms. Excellent presentation and photos, as always!
Kathy, your work is always such a treat to study! You took this home to an all new level with both your expert staging and your wonderful photography.
Kathy: I have had that very problem trying to figure out what room was what.. Your furnishings complement the architecture very beautifully. GREAT JOB!!!
have a great day from the Pacific Northwest
Fabulous job Kathy! I know you've been asked this before, but what kind of camera do you use? Always love your photos.
I love the contrast of the expresso legs on the chairs with the lighter wood tables. I have never used this combination before-but it looks fabulous Kathy. This home is staged to sell!
Thanks, Michele.
Diana - it's the first time I've used those chairs. I was a little hesitant at first but, am pleased with how they looked in the DR.
David - Thank you.
Maureen, Kathy A & Todd - Thanks for your kind words.
Hi, Donna. It's a Nikon D90.
Thanks, Cathy. I too like the contrast.

Kathy, the rooms look great. Wonderful spaces to work with for sure.
Kathy, It looks great. I recognized the home immediately.
Its great house in a great location. But with no staging it was very "cold".
Your work is awesome as always!
Thanks, Isabel!
Hi, Bob!! The agent is hosting an open house on Sunday. I'll be there when it starts so, if you're around, please stop by as I would love to see you.
Kathy
Beautiful work as always, you make it look easy, but we know how much work goes into it.
Kathy- Looks great! You made that room come alive. Thanks for sharing.
I LOVE looking at your before and afters. You do such a great job. I really like the painted moldings in this room too. :)
You do it with so little items, but "fill" the room. I have used several of your ideas in my own home. You definitely do it right!
Thanks, Lori. What an incredibly nice compliment. Thank you.
