By now, we've all know how critically important photos can be in helping to sell a home more quickly. What may not be as well known is how handy a little site called Picnik can be.
The following picture was enhanced using Picnik.
Here are the steps I had taken to enhance the photo:
- Framed the shot with a shadow and then did another frame to create the small white border.
- Added text (HomeStagingAtlanta.com) in the upper right hand corner
- Reduced the exposure as the photo ended up being a tad bit over exposed.
These simple changes took less than 5 minutes to make.
Given how important photos are to agents and to home stagers, these small changes can truly help enhance your photos.

I'm always looking for ways to improve my shots. Thanks for your suggestion.
Thanks Kathy for adding how you accomplished the details in your photo. I love using Picnik but have never ventured into using the features that you have noted. I will investigate future now. Bookmarked.

Kathy -- I've become a Picasa fan but Piknik looks great in your example! The floral arrangement looks totally real....great photo!
You're welcome, Dan.
Silvia - I too love the framing options and try and use the shadow frame on almost every shot.
Kate - if you have any questions, please feel free to call me.
Glad this could help, Tom.
Ginger - Picnik makes it so easy. You're going to love the "create" tab.
Fernando - you made me blush (smile).
Maureen - I love Picasa and in fact, upload (within Picnik) from my Picasa web. It's super convenient.

I use picassa -- but this looks like fun as well.
And if the QUEEN OF B & A's tells me it's good . . . it is!
YOur photos are always so beautiful! Thanks for the tips.
Your photos are always faboulous Kathy! Thanks for the tips. I have used Picasa, but yet to try Picnik. I will be sure to check it out - sounds like you are using both too.
Thank you very much! Great info!
I love using Picnic (I made my AR banner with it ;) although I typically use Corel Photo or MS Photo Mgr, Picnik is great because it's so simple to use. Great info, especially for Newbies
Hi Kathy, I use Picnik all the time. I love it. Your photo is beautiful. Thanks for the post.
Fantastic photo. I personally love picassa, but I don't think I've given picknic a fair shake yet... thanks for sharing!
Simply awesome-but yet again it's what we expect from you...Photo Goddess :)
I will give Picnik another try, I have been using Picassa. Do you ever use Photo Shop Elements. I'm not sure if I should purchase it or not. Thanks for sharing.
I love picnik and all my photos go through there before ending up anywhere else. It is so easy to use and makes such a difference. I love your example photo!
