As a little girl, I would love when my mom would take us out and we'd go through model homes.  We couldn't afford a new home but that surely didn't stop us from looking and dreaming.   Little did I know that one day others would be looking and admiring my work.   

And the icing on the cake - I get to save builders thousands of dollars in getting their model homes decorated.

Fabulous job, Kathy.  The keeping room is especially inviting to me.  What is a keeping room exactly?  Love the job on the shelves, just enough, not too much.  That takes talent!  And, oh what a delightful little bedroom.  Excellent work all around.

Val & Karen - the furniture came from Brook.  We staged every room with the exception of the secondary bedrooms.  For this particular home it was the following:  Entrance, dining room, living room, master and master bath, keeping room, kitchen, 2nd bedroom and laundry room.  All of these rooms were located on the main level.  There were 2 additional bedrooms and bath that we did not stage.

Val - I typically stage "key" rooms (kitchen, living room, dining room, master bedroom and bathrooms) for model homes.  However, I'll leave it up to the builder.

Thanks, Marci.  The stars were purchased at Kirklands.  I have a couple of sets and have used them in a number of different ways.

Thanks, Cynthia.  The builder and his partner came over when we had it completed - they were ecstatic.  The staging truly warmed the space, provided the vision and made the house look like a home.

I just realized we have already MET! When I looked at this posting and I recognized my partner's PROPERTY in your PHOTO! My sister is Susan McClure - my partner in USA Home Dreams! I funded the construction of those homes for Palermo (Veridine) and they are just around the corner from my home! What a small world!  I actually sold the new construction home you staged in Marietta!  I think I was the 3rd listing agent, but we finally found the perfect buyer.
