Atlanta Home Staging Company: The Art of Accessorizing

This Atlanta Home Staging Company, Georgia Interior Solutions, has the expertise and experience to help showcase your home and/or listing so that it stands out from the others on the market. With years of experience and a massive inventory designed to compliment any style home, we implement solutions that draw the buyer in and allow them to emotionally connect with the home.

The Art of Accessorizing

When I'm staging a vacant home, there are two items I consider most important:

  • Placement of the furniture and
  • Accessories

Knowing what and how much can literally make a difference in one stager from another.  Too little and you have "vignette-like" staging; too much and you take away from the features of the home.  Getting the right balance takes skill and experience.

And while as Val pointed out in her blog Shop til you Drop: the rules have all changed - shopping for accessories can be tiring.  However, if you check out her web site Staged2SellNY I'll bet she has many satisfied customers who greatly appreciate the time she spends searching for just the right accessory.

Maureen Henry with Rockland Home Staging definitely has it figured out.  For proof, just check out her web site and view her portfolio page!

My firm has a warehouse of furniture and accessories.  We also have a principal broker with an interior design background.  It makes my small firm very competitive against the real estate giants operating in my market.

Kathy...beautiful job as always!  You are so right!  It does take the right balance of skill and experience to make it work!  I've seen quite a few jobs where it looks like large furniture was just dropped in the room with very little accessories.

Val and Maureen do a fabulous job striking that balance and the results are right on the money!  And you my dear do FABULOUS work too! I LOVE looking at your staging photos!   :-)

Accessories are SOOO important, once I see a house I get my whole design plan and color scheme by finding that perfect accessorie like a throw pillow or framed art. It is a hassle shopping but it is what makes our job fun and our homes stand out from the competition.

Great job as always

Kathy, You are right. It is a make it or break it situation with the accessories. One must know how to walk the thin line and you do an excellent job! I LOVE your work. I also like your link love. Good job!

I agree Kathy, I see a lot of other vacants out there that have been staged with furniture, but are really thin on accessories.  It looks like furniture has been abandoned in the room.
