Home Staging - Walking the fine line...
As a professional home stager in Atlanta, my main objective with each home staging, whether vacant or occupied, is to appeal to a broad base of prospective buyers. And while making the home appealing, I also need to consider the homeowner, especially for occupied homes. It's a fine line we walk. However, erring on the side of "making the home look beautiful" seems to be just the ticket.
Case in point - we home staged this property located close to Little Five Points in Atlanta, Georgia last week. In most of our home staging projects, we're able to see first-hand the reaction of the homeowner. However, with the homeowners busy schedule and me with an appointment immediately following this staging, the feedback came via a phone call. I could hear her walking thru the house and with each room she went into she claimed it to be her favorite.
Here's an after picture of the eat-in/kitchen.

Kathy: Your work is always so lovely. How could your client not love each and every room. The home looks gorgeous. Your client better be ready to move. I bet it sells quickly!
Kathy... that kitchen would make me want to buy this home. Great Job!!!!!!!
Thanks, Michelle & Randy!
Randy - How did your presentation go?
Kathy
Kathy,
It is such a wonderful feeling when someone truly appreciates your work. I experienced that last week when we staged a condo for an absentee owner. When the agent walked in he commented how much he loved it and immediately called the client before seeing any other room to brag how great it looked. He just kept saying "Wow!". I love a happy client.
That phone call must have made you feel really great. That is what it is all about! I love that kitchen!!
That is the cherry on top of the sundae! Beautiful work Kathy. Love the colors that you picked and thank you for sharing with us. ;)
I'll bet she was happy, Kathy! The kitchen is lovely, and whets my appetite for more! It really is great to hear how much the owners like what we do. We had one client who told us, "I enjoyed living in it the way I had it, but this is beautiful!" It warmed my heart!
Just when I thought you couldn't possibly impress me any more with your staging and photography prowess... there you go again! This looks like the cover of a magazine.I wouldn't be surprised if the owner decided not to sell ;)
Your work is always professional. In this case, you communicate a warm and natural feeling in this kitchen, giving it welcoming appeal. Exemplary job.
Absolutely stunning! Your work is incredible-she is so fortunate to have you as her stager!
Absolutely gorgeous kitchen! It definitely belongs on the cover of a magazine.
Really beautiful work and photography. Congratulations.
As always, stellar, great house. I've done some beautiful homes, that had nothing to work with. You never know what you're going to find when you open that door!
Anthea - I, too, love when a client is pleased.
Thanks, Sharon.
You're welcome, Lori Kim.
She was tinkled pink. She said it look like a model home (which made me feel wonderful).
Awe, thank you, Jackson, for your very kind words.
Hi, Patricia - I saw the beauty in that kitchen and that was my precise objective - to add warmth.
Thanks, Cathy.
Kate - I love playing with different angles with my camera. I think this shot captured precisely what I was after.
Thanks, David.
Cindy - So true.
