Did They Pick The Right Atlanta Home Stager?
My client thinks so. He just sent me an email indicating that the house we home staged in Atlanta at the end of December and placed on the market on the 28th of December, is under contract (that’s 17 days on the market). He’s thrilled, the agent is happy and I’m over the moon.
You may remember this home pictured below as I had posted a blog regarding whether the paneling should be painted. That post received a lot of comments and provided proof that the majority do believe that it’s beneficial to have it painted.
As for whether or not they picked the right Atlanta Home Stager – they interviewed several home stagers. In addition, they paid a visit to one of my staged homes so that they could see first-hand the style I use in my stagings. I encouraged that visit and glad they made the time.
Here are two pictures of the living room. One is before being professionally home staged and the other is the after picture:

Kathy....I saw the original post and was someone who 100% agreed with the decision to paint the paneling. I can now see that you also painted the wood ceiling....looks FANTASTIC and so light and modern....GREAT staging!
Under contract in 17 days is excellent in any market. In todays market it is outstanding. Great job.
BTW, I agrre with painting the paneling. In our old house we had some real wood paneling that was nice but still paneling. My wife asked me for years to paint but I just couldnt stand to paint over it. Of course she did finally prevail and it was excellent. I won't even have to think about it nexxt time around.
Yes, your clients sure did pick the right home stager. This is an amazing transformation. What a difference painting the panelling has made. Way to go.
Congrats. Staging really works! I love to hear the success stories. The transformation is amazing and there's no doubt your effort in the transformation is what brought about the sale.
What a difference that paint made! The furnishings you chose are beautiful, too, and really make the space feel updated and fresh. I like the idea of sending your clients to a home you have staged.
WOW, WOW, WOW, they certainly did! Can I vote for this to be featured in before and after !!
Kathy - Hopefully more sellers will get the message. Staging makes $ense. Congratulations!
Another fine job by the Atlanta Home Stager! Congrats Kathy!
Amazing transformation ... Literally night and day! No wonder why it went so quickly!
Congratulations Kathy.
Kathy, What a gorgeous job....I'm not at ALL surprised it sold so quickly! You did a fabulous job and I'm sure your clients are thrilled with you.
Of course your clients chose the right home stager. Who better to craft such an amazing transformation? Beautiful job Kathy & beautiful photos.
Stunning Before and After here, Kathy! That "before" home was just way too dated ... now it's move-in ready and stylishly staged. Great work!
Kathy B - After interviewing me, the investors continued with their interviews by calling other stagers in. It was during that time that they also solicited the help of an architect. The architect was asked to provide the selection of colors for the interior. Unfortunately, and I'm not sure why, but they recommended that the entire home be a cream color (walls, trim, ceiling and beams). The ceiling was painted a shade darker than the walls and the beams were the exact same color. After they made their decision on their Atlanta home stager (me), they called me back in as they knew with certainty that the colors just weren't right. I agreed. Everything just blended in and there was absolutely no contrast. As for the beams? With everything painted a cream color, you couldn't even see the beams. So, out came my color guide and with the selections made, they had it repainted. Now as you point out, the beams pop.
Bob - Thank you for your kind words. Congrats again on reaching that wonderful milestone!
Thanks, Sally.
Michelle - I have a very happy client.
Cathy - Sending prospects to my existing staged properties has worked well.
James - awe. That was kind of you to say.
Thanks, John and Karen.
Liz - it definitely went thru a transformation.
Thanks, Carole.
Michelle - thanks for your kind words.
Maureen - I remember when I first stepped into that home. I couldn't help but think just how dated the home looked. I knew instantly what I wanted to do. Bringing it up-to-date was absolutely first on my priority list.
Kathy
You did a Great job Kathy! Painting the beams a dark color really makes them stand out! The room looks fantastic!
I LOVE the difference it makes when you paint paneling. So much character. Most of the time it even looks BETTER than if you ripped it all out. :) Kathy, once again the finished product is absolutely gorgeous!
I am not surprised at all Kathy. I wish you were up here in my area...you are a miracle worker:)
I vote for this to be featured - all in favour say - aye!
I agree completely. He chose the right stager. You did a great job and the quick sale confirmed that! Great job as usual.
Yes they did pick the right home stager...excellant job, looks like lots of hard work
Congratulations Kathy! Your post and photos have been featured by the professional stagers on AR!!!
What a disaster the first photo is, great decision on paint choices, looks like everything turned out perfect.
Great work Kathy -- I always enjoy your before and afters. This home isn't one I've ever bid on, but the fact he is happy and you have a great stat, means he had the right home stager. Congrats! Many more happy clients to come in 2010, don't ya think?
Really beautiful work Kathy. It's hard to believe that it's the same room. What a difference your professional touch made!
Kathy,
Congratulations on your beautiful Staging and the quick sale. Your projects always turn out stunning! All of your before and after's are beautiful.
Thank you, everyone, for your very kind words.
Kathy
Kathy,
FANTASTIC! This transformation really holds value for your business. A SUPER marketing tool to show how professional home staging can successfully prepare any home no matter what the condition!
Staging really does make a difference. I heard the home sells faster and for usually 6 percent more. Is that true!
