Nothing fancy... but what a difference minor changes can make to the "feel" of the room.
Case in point - take this bathroom. As you'll see in the "before" picture there's nothing spectacular about the bathtub area. In fact, if I were a prospective buyer, I'd likely take a glance and carry-on with seeing the rest of the home.
With a limited budget of $300.00 for added accessories, it's important to gain as much impact as possible and make the dollar stretch as best you can.
Here's the "before" picture:
Again, minor changes can make a difference. Here's the "after" picture:

I really like the layering of the towels. So easy and yet it really helps it to pop!
cheers,
cindy
Thanks everyone for your kind words.
Kathy
Looks beautiful! I was wondering... when you say you had a budget of $300, is that a monthly rental fee you would charge for inventory or do you just charge one flat fee for inventory Or did you purchase items for them and they keep them?
Hi, Judy. The items were purchased for the buyer. So... now she'll be able to use them in her next home.
Kathy
I love the ferns on the tub. Thanks for sharing this great idea!
Simple, but perfect!
I am looking for $300 worth of value? I see 2 $14 ferns, 2 new towels, moving the little white box out of the tub shelf and shooting the photo in a light warm filter, which should have been done to start with. This really is 10 min of work and the proper shot format being done- I'd give this section $75-$100 tops if it was part of a larger staging package, but no more.
Hi, Thomas & Karen, The $300.00 covered the added accessories as well as my fee. The rooms that were addressed within this budget were as follows: kitchen; kitchen eat-in, living room, two secondary bedrooms, bathroom, master bedroom and master bathroom. The homeowner was on a tight budget.

That makes more sense in that is wasn't just for that one area, that would have been absurd, even in Northern Virginia.
Thank you for the clarification.
Kathy - The bathroom looks terrific and you're right, this room would give someone room for pause and reflection.
Congratulations are in order for your nomination as RESA Professional Stager 2007!
Jackie
So simple and oh so nice! Like the ferns, they really bring life to the space.
