In fact, growing up, I always dreamed of being a professional athlete as it was evident that they were doing something they loved and were getting paid for it. And while I'm coordinated, I didn't inherit a single gene that would qualify me for any professional sport playing. But that's absolutely a-okay. I found something I love doing; staging homes. With each new project comes new opportunity. An opportunity to sing (yup, I've had more than one delivery guy ask me to stop), and to dance (mostly to make them laugh some more). My mission is to ensure those around me are having as much fun as I'm having. Life is way too short. I'm going to spread the fun. It's my new motto (smile). And here's why I love what I do.... I get the chance to take a plain room and make it more inviting. Here's one from one of our latest home stagings in Atlanta. If you love what you do, you'll never work another day in your life. No truer words have ever been spoken (in my humble opinion).

Kathy - How true your statement is about loving what you do! And the picture is gorgeous.
Hi Kathy - That room is gorgeous! You do beautiful work, and that is a great photograph to demonstrate your talent.
Kathy ~ I feel the same way; every project just makes me feel so happy when I see the final result, and I'm very grateful that I've found a way to live out my dreams! Your photo is one of my favorites -- it shows the textures and stylish staging so well! I love the dog statue too. It's all absolute perfection -- but what else would we expect from you? :-) Keep smiling!
It is not work when you love what you do! It is so evident you do!! Gorgeous photo and work Kathy.
Seriously, I love what I do, and can't believe it when I get paid to do it! What a great photo - the little bird sitting on the stack of books, beside the white orchid - perfection.
Kathy - I couldn't agree more. BTW, I always look forward to seeing your photos. What an absolutely gorgeous room. Your talent is incredible. Did you have a say in the paint colors? I love the contrast of the dark grey wall color.
I totally agree with you...I just wish and work towards this area loving staging as much as I do. Great post !!! you are so right.
Truer words have never been spoken, Kathy (& I LOVE your photos ;)
Kathy: This is just one of the many reasons that I love you (and no, its not for your singing:o)) Your talent and that you love what you do is fully evident in your home staging photos.
Kathy: so true - life is too short to do something you don't really love. The problem is so many people have no idea what they really want to do. I can tell you love your work - it really shows. The photo you posted is beautiful!
Kathy, that is so true...and the reason I got into Home Staging as well! It's great to be able to LOVE what you do!!!!! (and I love that photo too! just gorgeous!)
Kathy- Add to that, if you do what you love to do, you'll never have to "work" a day in your life. I love your staging and you know what, I tried to picture the room with a white wall, and just not the same.
Thank you, everyone, for your very kind words. The home owner loved all the rooms, which always makes me happy.
Okay... off to prepare for another staging tomorrow.
Thanks again.

Kathy, What a great post and so, so true! Fabulous work (as we all have come to expect from you) shown in your photo above. I've heard your bird and dog sing, but never you!!!
Beautiful photos, it is tough, but when it's done, it is rewarding. Love the two contrasting grey colors.
Kathy...I love what I do...I don't mind working! I'd just like to get paid....LOL!
Again, another incredible job you have done!
