I'm asked often by homeowners, as well as agents, as to whether or not there's value in staging a condominium on the market.

My answer is the same whether I'm addressing a million dollar listing or a two bedroom condo: 

  • Home Staging helps to separate your home or listing from the others on the market.  It's likely that there are others, within the same complex, and most definitely within the area that are on the market as well.  Now's the time to make yours stand out.

Wow-this looks great! Why would a condo be different than any other home? I know that the local condo market is saturated and sales have been slowed so staging could be the "key" to put your condo on the top of the desirable properties......We recently assisted in selling a condo-the first day on the market-staging works!

Kathy - I think it is even more important to stage a condo. Chances are there is another one just like it for sale in the same complex.  When it comes to condos you really have to be have the best location, lowest price or be the nicest one.  The condo market is cut-throat here.

It just looks so much more welcoming than the partial staging. Partial staging also looks strange. It's a little bit awkward like a woman with half of her makeup on. ;)

Gone are the days when just putting up a sign and/or some pictures on the web sold ANY real estate, condo or otherwise.  Every property needs to be staged now to differentiate it from its competition and grab a buyer.  And they should all be so lucky as to be staged by Kathy Nielsen, one dynamite stager.  Lovely, lovely work, Kathy!
