As most people are aware, I outsource my furniture rental needs. In the beginning, I thought perhaps it made more sense to purchase. However, as time went on, I realized that this would mean transporting, renting a truck, hiring help and then storing the items. In summary, I decided leasing the furniture was the better option.
With leasing comes the new challenge. How do we make each bedroom look different using the same exact bedroom suite? The truth of the matter is that each home is unique and each has its' own style. The opportunity really lies with the layout of the room and the opportunity with unique bedding.

Kathy,
Beautiful photos showing off your creativity, style and attention to detail. Your rental company should give you a discount for this work!!
Well done, great work as always. I really like the differences between the rooms.
Hi Kathy,
Beautiful looking rooms. You have a great eye. Wish you were here in So. Cal. Thanks for your input and comments on my blog.
Amazing how different each room looks. A room is more than the furniture, it is about color, light, scale, accessories, placement --- as always, your work is fabulous.
Kathy,
You make every room so inviting. Do you mostly work with one or two bed sizes in the homes you stage or do you also include king if needed?
Beautiful job as always,
Sue - Wouldn't that be great? I did send them some of the "after" pictures of a project I just completed. They were thrilled with the results.
Joelle - You're right. It's amazing what the power of accessories can do for a room.
Thanks, Sandra and Open Home Mortgage (smile).
Tina - I use to live in Southern California. In fact, we lived in San Diego for 12 years. I miss it terribly.
Lori - Thanks for your kind words.
Kathy
Kathy,
GREAT illustration on the power of staging, regardless of what furniture you're using! You made each room unique and that's what people remember....they won't even notice the pieces are the same. Your photos are really stunning too -- what camera are you using?
Simply BRILLIANT! You are a fantastic stager and I have been really enjoying seeing your photos. Accessories make all the differences in the world, which reminds me that I need to be less lazy & uninspired and switch things up a little bit!
Cheers,
Cindy
Thanks everyone for your kind words.
Maureen B - These 5 bedrooms are in 5 different homes. As for the pictures, some were taken by Carolyn Hollier with MyVisualListings.com and others I had taken with my Sony camera.
Janice - This particular bedroom suite was leased from Aaron. I also use Brook.
Maureen H - I too love those prints. I also purchased at Kirklands but didn't hit quite the same that you did. In the first picture, you can't tell, but the two prints are sisters prints. It's the reflection in the mirror that makes them look identical.
Betty - I too love that metal art and that particular bedroom is one of my favorites.
Thanks too to all my staging sisters who have commented.
Kathy
Thanks, Karen.
Lori Kim - It was either Target or Walmart. I love that set as well. It's really rich looking. Thanks for your kind words.
Kathy
Thanks, Debbie.
Maria - I too love bedding. In fact, I went out today and bought three more sets (all different).
Thanks, Diana. I agree, the suite is generic enough and you're right likely what some of the homeowners have. Thanks for your comments!
Kathy
Great job, every room has a different look which I'm sure matches the rest of the house.
Well Done !
Sandra Montemayor - All In One Staging, Inc
The bedroom suite is just the "bones". It's the Hair and Makeup that does the trick :) Nice job!
Lexa
Thanks, Kate.
Sandra - Yes, I carry out the theme throughout the home to provide consistency.
Lexa - Thank you. I love your analogy.
Kathy
Hi Kathy,
These rooms look great, It was really surprising to see how different a room can look with the same furniture. The bedding that was chosen is also very nice.
Great idea for a blog post, Kathy! Thanks for sharing these gorgeous shots!
I find myself wanting to mix things up a bit too, but as you said...each room is unique.
Best wishes,
Veronica

What a nice compliment, Judy. Thank you.
Thanks, Patrick & Veronica.
Kathy
Nice job, Kathy! You have good taste...I have the same black/white comforter and the metal stars on the wall! :)
Julia
Nice job! You have a great eye for balance and symmetry.
Thanks, Susan and Julia. I love that comforter so much that I went out and bought another one.
Kathy
Yvonne - what a super sweet thing for you to say!! Thank you! I'm not exactly sure how to tell who has subscribed. I'll have to look into that (smile).
Kathy
Kathy what a difference that each room makes. They all look so different. Great job. Its nice to see the photos together.
