Yesterday, as I was nearing completion of staging a condo, I called the agent to make arrangements to return the key. Fortunately, he was close by and asked if he could come over to see the results. He was with a friend who had the opportunity earlier in the morning to see the condo when it was vacant.
Their reaction - They were blown away with how different it made the home and how incredible it looked. But equally, if not more important, the "friend" kept asking questions regarding the features of the home and whether I had added "that" or added "this." In summary - he proved a point I tell all of my prospects. Furniture and accessories help to showcase the features of the home. The items he was pointing out weren't items I had brought into the home. Instead, they were features that simply didn't stand out when the home was vacant.

Thanks, Kathy. I really enjoy what I do. It's my goal with every staging project to LOVE the finished look. My thinking is that if I love it, prospective buyers will LOVE it too!
Kathy
The kitchen really looks great! Your accessories really make those counter tops POP and tie into the red dining room. Looks really nice!!

A majority of buyers can't look beyond the emptiness of the vacant space and visualize where their things will go - you've once again proven how important it is to stage a vacant property to highlight the features of the space. Beautiful work Kathy!
Thanks, Cheryl-Anne. It's a bright red but... with the furniture, it really looks great! Thanks for your post.
Lois - Thank you. I really try to minimize what I do in a home as I want the "features" to show and not just my things.
Terry - Thanks, Girlfriend!
Kathy A - You're correct. It's a small condo. Nonetheless, the living room came together quite well with all the pieces and a plant to boot.
Thanks, Sherri - I love doing kitchens! The red cannisters did blend with the eat-in kitchen. Thanks for noticing.
Thanks, Joelle!
Karen - I hear you. Not only does it provide a solution with how to use the space but... makes for a nice warm environment.
Thanks, Mike! And to think... I took these photos.
Sue - Thanks!
Keith - Yes, I do all types of homes. I'll send you an emai via Active Rain.
Thanks everyone!
It makes a HUGE difference after staged. The home just feels much more inviting and welcoming.
Cheers,
Cindy
Thanks, Cindy.
Marci - I believe I got the wire basket from Kirklands when they were on sale. I remember buying two which is all they had. I love them.
Here's how I used one of them: This is in an entrance way.
Of course they were blown away, who wouldn't be. I love the red and the fireplace mantel looks great. I love the pic of the horse. Great accessories.
