I think I may have mentioned in a blog or two that I love staging kitchens. Perhaps in part it's because I'm only allowed in my kitchen to make salads or to set the table. Oh, and of course to clean (smile). Alright, I admit it, I can't cook. But... I can stage a home!
I look at all kitchens as pure potential. Typically, a homeowner has invested in new granite countertops along with new appliances. Given that they've made the investment, I think it only right to give them the attention they deserve. My goal of course is to further compliment the wonderful enhancements they've made.

Kathy,
Looks better now that you have staged it! Good post thanks for sharing!
Thanks, Jennifer.
Yvonne - Yes, those are bar stools. Those wonderful containers came from Kirklands. I love them so much that I now have three sets. This was a fun home to stage. Thanks for commenting, Yvonne.
Kathy
Like the kitchen...great job with the accessories. Thanks for the post.
Julia
I completely agree! I love staging kitchen. It's so easy and fun, and it warms up the space instantly.
Cheers,
Cindy
That photographed really nicely. I love it!
Thanks, Julia.
Nora & Susan - You're right, kitchens are the heart of the home. Therefore, they're so critically important. Thanks for your comments.
Keith & Robin - Thanks! I need to create a real estate show for this home (and the others I've staged recently). Perhaps I'll make the time to do it today!
Abby - Thank you!!! I was so surprise to see you post. I'm glad you made up north safely! This room came out so nicel
Thanks, Sandra!
Kathy A - I recently lost a bid due to price. In viewing the "after" pictures of the kitchen staged by the other stager who won the bid, I was beyond alarmed. The stager had used small, undersized wicker baskets, period end of sentence. It was sad. I'm with you, kitchens are one of the most important rooms. Thanks for commenting.
Great job Kathy! Almost makes me want to cook something! ;)
Susan, me too! Actually, as like most people, I love to hang on in the kitchen.
Thanks, Michelle! What a wonderful compliment coming from such a professional!
Marci - I purchased the canisters at Kirklands. I believe they're $39.99. If you sign up for their email messages, they'll, on occassion, send you coupons in their email flyers (most of the time it's for 25%).
Janice - That's precisely my objective! Thanks for commenting!
Kathy
...along with everyone else.......I LOVE the containers and will be trekking wwwwaaayyyy across Tucson to check out Kirkland's. Your kitchen looks fabulous and I think that every single staged property should have bright lemons, pears, or apples in it.....everytime!!
Great job....
Nancy - Here's a bigger picture of the containers. I would call first just to be sure they still have them. I did purchase this set just this past week so my guess is that they will. Also, Pier 1 has some great pomegranates. They look so real! Thanks for your kind words!
Thanks, Debbie! The containers are the perfect size and actually could be used in a variety of different ways. For example, you could keep the lids off and place candles inside which would look great on a coffee table.
Karen - thanks so much for your kind words. I wanted to ensure the accessories complimented the granite countertops. We, as you know, walk a fine line when staging. In most homes, less is more!
Thanks, Kathleen!! I haven't seen the fake cilantro. Where did you find that?
Kathy
I don't always take the time to read staging posts, and I'm glad I did today. Lovely job.
It is from a local store called Christmas Pointe, I will try to find out where they order it from.
Thanks for a peek at a wonderful kitchen staging. I love hoe the colours you chose accent the counters and cabinets, instead of distracting the eye. Classy work, Kathy!

Thanks, Margaret. I'm glad you viewed the pictures and commented! Thank you!
Kathleen G - I suppose I could even use the cannisters in master bathrooms. Thanks for commenting.
James - You know that kitchen of mine that I'm not allowed in? Well... it has a plant on the counter. It looks great and my husband, the chef in the house, doesn't mind that it's there. I'll also use lamps!
Thanks, Ann.
Wendy - I try and ensure all the colors blend with the color of the cabinets and countertops. Thanks for pointing that out and for your kind words.
Kathleen L - that's amazing. It looks so real. Thanks for including a picture of it!
Kathy
Me too, Karen! Love doing kitchens and bedrooms! Thanks for your comment.
Kathy
Kathy, staging a kitchen is a great idea, since it's one the most important rooms for many buyers. One thing I've seen, which I liked, is a gourmet cookbook propped open on the counter showing great picture of a particular recipe. It makes me want to cook that in that kitchen!
Thanks, Tanya. I say there can never be enough greenery (smile).
Joy - that cilantro looks so real, doesn't it? It's amazing.
Joan - Thank you! I always try to compliment the space vs. over power it with accessories. Thanks for your kind words.
Lisa - I love using cookbooks and I use them propped up right next to the stove. In this house, I had some other items I wanted to use so... I didn't even bring one with me. And... I'm with you, the kitchen is one of the most important rooms. Thanks for commenting.
Kathy
I ALWAYS ALWAYS stage the kitchens...it's the heart of the home. In my staging packet I always include accessorizing kitchen and baths. These are the rooms you can have fun with. Great job and I love the stools.
