Atlanta Kitchen Gets A Transformation (Before and After Pictures Included)
This galley kitchen is beautiful. Those were my exact thoughts when I first entered. With the rich dark wood, the beautiful granite and the stainless steel - I knew exactly what I wanted to do. As a professional home stager in Atlanta, my job is to further enhance and showcase the beauty of the features the home has to offer.
So how does one take an "already beautiful kitchen" and make it stand out? It takes some thought, that's for sure. Home staging a kitchen is all about the accessories. What we use and where we place it, is important.
Here's the before picture. I loved it the minute I saw it.

Here's the after picture. As you'll see, I chose a deep burgundy/red color to further enhance the richness of the dark wood tones.

Close-up (kitchen countertop left). Limes were on my mind as my husband had just made ceviche the day before. It's funny how things that happen in the course of our days that help influence some of our decisions. I chose the container (with greenery) in the corner as it looks "old world" to me and seemed the perfect height. With its' rustic-look, set inside a contemporary kitchen, it seemed the perfect touch.

Close-up (kitchen countertop right). The small tray of olives was a carry-over, keeping with the rustic element I wanted to bring in. The red container - newly purchased (well, months ago) just matched perfectly to the burgundy vase and bowl. Envision it filled with lentils or a small pasta such as pastina.

Stay tuned for more pictures of this beautiful home.

Kathy.....It really is a beautiful kitchen that AFTER staged looked like a showroom!!!! BEAUTIFUL and just the right touches of color and style!!!
Kathy - You succeeded in making an already great kitchen look fantastic. The hits of red really warm up the space, and I love the direction you took with the old world, rustic elements. It's a very nice juxtaposition to the cold, stainless steel backsplash.
Stunning...the kitchen and your work. What is the wall finish?
Hi Kathy, I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of the home! You have really enhanced this kitchen and made it seem vibrant, where as before staging it looked to industrial and cold. Your choices were just perfect for this space.
Kathy -- the "before" photo showed a great kitchen with no heart or soul ,... your clever staging made it come alive so that buyers can now mentailly move right in! The items you selected were just perfect and I can't wait to see more!
I'll take it! Thank you for removing the knife block - it's the first thing I always tell sellers to hide.
Kathy- I liked the kitchen too when I first saw it because of the potential it had and then what you did with your magic touch just made it all the more inviting. I love how you added some warm and rustic touches to take away from the kitchen being viewed as too contemporary or sterile.
Kathy, this ultra modern kitchen gets "character" under your supervision. Very nice.
Hi Kathy--your staging, as always is so beautiful. All the little details come together to make that kitchen "Wow". Can't wait for photos of the rest of the home.
Great job Kathy! You took an already beautiful kitchen to the next level.
Thanks to everyone for your very kind comments!
Kathy
I always love all your photos Kathy but your close-ups are always my favorites! Stunning.
Kathy, the kitchen was already beautiful before, but you brought the kitchen alive. Love your photos...looks like out of a magazine!! Great job all around. Thanks for sharing.
I love the kitchen before and after. You are so right, that even the most beautiful remodel needs to be warmed with some emotion of real living. I am anxious to see the rest of the house. My first thought when I saw that contemporary gray was yellow as in lemons!!!l
Color is what this already beautiful kitchen needed. I love the colors and variety of decor. Beautiful!
Kathy, I just love the way you do counter tops. I could look at your work all day long. Inspiring to say the least.
Hi Kathy, I love this look. It's awesome - very different! Also, like the look in your other posts!
