In celebration of my 100th blog on Active Rain (which is so hard to believe), I'd like to thank the folks at Active Rain that have given me a platform from which to share my work, exchange ideas and perhaps more importantly, learn and share with others. This I know for certain, I'm forever appreciative.
And because what would a Kathy blog be without a picture? I share the following.
This is an occupied home I had the great pleasure of staging last week. Prior to staging, this dining room contained a sofa, chair and boxes. In the consultation, I made a recommendation that we take it back to what it was originally designed for. In this case, the homeowners, who definitely wanted and needed a dining room set went out and made a new purchase.
Here's the "after" picture:

As you can see, I've captured the ceiling in this picture so that potential buyers viewing the home on the internet will see this great feature.

Elaine - I thought the same thing (that I'd never reach 100) but... it's amazing how quickly it occurs. Thanks for kind words! They purchased the set at Rooms to Go!
Kathy
Great furniture ! , dont take this the wrong way the lamp kind of bother the eye is not proportionate with furniture, its too small and to High. The rest I love the colors etc.
congrats on your 100TH Blog
I'm with you Fernando - the light fixture is too small for a) the room and b) the scale of the furniture. And, like you, I love the colors.
Deborah - Thanks! Congrats too on nearing your 100th!
Kathy
Wow, 100th blog...That's awesome, Kathy! Congrats!

Hi, Marci - They're coming!
Fernando - It's been months since I did that so, am trying to remember. I know it's widgetbox (widgetbox.com) and from there, I selected a platform (slide show). I'll try and see if I can duplicate and if so, I'll pass on the directions.
Kathy
Terrylynn - No, the paint color for the room didn't change. Happy typing (smile).
Thanks, Kay. Staging can and does make a difference. Given that it's just catching on, I would definitely suggest having your listings staged as your homes will definitely stand out.
Kathy
Kudos Kathy! You are an inspiration!
