The team at HomeStagingAtlanta.com was recently hired to stage a dorm suite for a new residence hall at Clayton State University. What a FUN project! And let me quickly add that dorms have certainly changed since I attended school. In the new residence hall, each suite contains 4 individual bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
Here are some before and after pictures of the suite.

We followed the same rules that would apply to the students and thus avoided any nails. The art hung in each of the rooms was done using the 3M brand of hooks. The wall decal in the room pictured above was purchased at Burlington Coat Factory and is completely removable.

Congrats on a job well done! How fun; like going back in time; I loved my dorm life and decorating my room! fun, fun!
Kathy ~ Cute! I'm looking forward to seeing my son's dorm in a few weeks (or at least what one will look like for 3 roommates) so I can get an idea of what I can do for him.
Thanks, Karen!!! It was so much fun!!!
Kathy P - there's so much you can do. I hadn't done a project like this before (other than my own dorm room years and years ago) so... it was definitely something different.
Kathy
Kathy, have I told you lately that I louvi-lovi what you do! Great transformations!
I wished I had a dorm room like that back in college. I had a huge room but hardly anything in it. It had the yucky fluorescent lights overhead and a really cold feeling. It made me really homesick.
The above comment was left by me - for some reason every time I try to do something it keeps saying there is a problem.
Kathy - I loved this project. Those rooms look fantastic!!!
What a fun project! The rooms turned out great. Thanks for sharing your photos.
Marci - each and every time I get that Lovi-Lovi as a graphic, I think of YOU!
Michelle - My dorm had the same florescent lights. And by the way, I too had problems yesterday with posting. Glad to see they fixed the problem.
Thanks, Maureen and Michele.
Kathy
How much fun that must have been. I'm sure the students were thrilled with the results.
Joyce
What a fun project for you! Great work!! Love the bedding and the colors you selected.
Wow Kathy! It now looks sophisticated and inviting, the clients had be beyond thrilled!
Nicely done. Did the parents pay for the staging? If so, what a nice gift idea.
Joyce - It's definitely made an impression on the freshman who are visiting the school. And yes, it was fun!
Thanks, Cathy Lee and Cynthia.
Lisa - The residence hall is newly built. It was staged to showcase the suite.
Kathy
KATHY THIS IS JUST FABULOUS! How did they find you. I love this concept and I love Johnny Depp! The chandilier image on the wall is great - where did it come from?
Kym
Thanks, Kym. I believe they found me searching the internet. The chandilier image was purchased at Burlington Coat Factory. It's in a set of 4 sheets and the cost was $19.99. The other sheets contained awesome little light fixtures It was the perfect solution as we couldn't us nails. There are other styles as well just as words (joy, hope, laugh, etc...).
Kathy
Aloha Kathy,
These dorm rooms are fabulous and really cute. I love the wall decal it really takes it to the next level.
Peace.
Great ideas. I'll be using a few ideas when we get my son settled into High Point University in a few weeks.
I love the decal chandelier...very clever and hip
Kathy your dorm rooms look fabulous. The Before pictures didn't make me want to spend any time there. Your Afters speak volumes. Betty
