I recently shared pictures in a post titled Home Staging Up Close & Personal pictures I had taken that were close-ups of some of my more recent projects. This evening I was going through my portfolio and thought there may be some value in sharing a couple of pictures where the photo actually captures more than a single room.
Here's one project I had done a few months ago. As you can see, this photo captures the living area, kitchen and kitchen eat-in. I somehow managed to capture the ceiling, which in this home was a gorgeous feature of the home.
Here's another picture that captures a variety of the rooms within the home. As you can see, it showcases the living room, eat-in kitchen, kitchen and even a small glimpse of the dining room (left hand side of the picture).
I've learned to send a variety of different angles and views of the homes I've staged so that the agent can make the decision on which ones to use. Thus far, it's worked perfectly.

Stunning! The clarity in your photos is that of a professional. You are certainly gifted in photography as well. You sure get to work on some beautiful home in GA. Your staging is equally as beautiful. Thanks for sharing!
Beautiful photos and staging! I love the ceiling in the first house. With these photos, the potential buyer can really get a feeling of the larger aspect of the space and not just a room.
Kathy: As you know, I greatly admire your photographic abilities. Besides being a great stager, you provide your clients with photos that really help sell the house on the MLS and in marketing materials.
Amazing work and great photography! I often like to take additional photos that I'd never use for my own portfolio, but that highlight a particular feature of the home (shown off to its best potential with Staging of course) just so the Realtor can use them in marketing the home. Great work!
What a gorgeous home-love the kitchen....I could move right in! Your staging really enhancing the home.
Thanks, Michele. I try my hardest to get the best shot possible. I know for certain that there's so much to learn and perhaps in time I'll enroll in some classes. Thank you for your kind words.
Tracy - You nailed it. It was my goal with both of these shots to capture the essence of the home and not a single room.
Michelle - Thank you. The agents, builders, investors have all been extremely pleased with the staging and with the pictures. It's always so nice hearing it from your peers. Thank you.
Thanks, Annie.
Cathy - I too loved that kitchen as did the homeowner (smile).
Kathy
your photos are excellent. What camera are you using?? The staging of this home is absolutely beautiful and I love that ceiling. I recently staged a home with the same ceiling and there lights under each tressle, it was beautiful when lit.
Phyllis Pafumi
TPQ - You captured the best aspects of these rooms in a single photo - good job.
Kathy thanks for sharing these photos they are beautiful! oh and about your blog
design and header banner....Very Nice! :)
Hi Kathy, I appreciate the beautiful photos of your work, I always enjoying seeing it. Great minds, I have the same sectional sofa! God bless,
Beautiful, Kathy! Like Phyllis, I was wondering what camera model & if you used a tripod for these professional shots. Thanks!
Kathy ~ I think these panoramic shots give the potential buyer an excellent sense of the living spaces and how they relate to each other, and always include a few in the photos I send to agents. Although they don't show the exquisite details in your staging, they do make the house the "star" and sometimes that's how it should be. Great photos!
Kathy - I love to look at everything you post because I know I will be seeing some great photos.
Kathy I love the details in this 1st picture. That home is great...nice and open and the ceiling is awesome.
Nice stagings. I love the green accents with the beige.
Thanks everyone for your kind words.
Bill - I loved that picture too and for the very reason you cited. The ceiling is absolutely a feature of the home. That said, I wanted to ensure I captured it in the photo.
Lisa - When I use the green and browns together, it's like bringing the outdoors inside. These colors work well together so I have a tendency to use them as often as I can.
As for the camera I'm using; I use the Nikon D80. I'm going to create a blog post soon which will share some tips for stagers when photographing their work. It will include information on the camera, lens and flash I'm using.

Kathy: I revisited your wonderful photos again. You always manage to capture the finest points of the homes you stage. Great job!
I think both your photography and staging is excellent. I love the shots that show more then one more as you can get such a good idea about the actual space from just a photo. Just beautiful!
My heart flutters when I see your work! The colors, patterns, textures, accessories, arrangement, the photos, the angles, everything is perfection!
Hi, Michelle. Thanks for revisiting this post. And... thank you for such a wonderful compliment.
Sandra - Thanks! I too love shots that show a lot of the home. However, I also love the close-ups. I suppose I could sum it up by saying, I love what I do and love capturing the finished look.
Cindy - How sweet of you. I spend a great deal of time with my design plans so that it truly captures the beauty of the homes I stage.
